The interior of this house is dominated by a single colour – white. You’d be hard-pressed to find furniture of a different shade in here. This allowed us to add decorative elements without robbing the furniture of its subtle, light, elegant appearance.
The customers wanted us to create a subtle white kitchen in the English style which would match the interior of the house. Therefore, we opted for white manual paint as the surface finish, using a Farrow & Ball paint we had shipped from Britain specifically for this purpose. The worktop is made from solid beech and treated with several layers of a special oil.
The door frames have been assembled at a 45-degree angle as opposed to the usual method, i.e. at right angle.
Even such a rustic-looking kitchen can be and is equipped with the latest Blum ironwork. The kitchen island provides enough storage space due to its large-capacity drawers and shelves. The side walls are decorated with fine grooving.
Bottle compartments are placed above the fridge. The entire kitchen is decorated with a moulding.
The steps of the staircase are made from solid glued laminated beech and varnished. Risers and the railing is painted by hand.
For the living room, we built the mantelpiece and lateral columns of the fireplace, as well as the decorative chimney board above.
