This commission clearly shows that clean oak is timeless and fits into both modern and classical interiors. It makes a nice warm impression and can be used basically anywhere. Over time, it turns slightly dark, showing its beautiful grain. In this case, all floors are made from oak, as is the furniture in the main space and the staircase. To lighten the house, doors and a part of the kitchen were rendered white.
The kitchen is divided in two separate parts. For the purposes of maintaining the lightness of the area, the roomy storage space – a system of fitted cabinets – is made from high-gloss white laminate. Apart from an oven and microwave, it also contains a fridge and freezer. The second part of the kitchen is made from varnished oak veneer. The worktop is granite and has an incredibly practical under-mount sink. The facing behind the worktop is made from the Lacomat glass.
An extendable oak table: the top can be unlocked, moved, and an “extension” part, usually stored on the bottom side of the table, put in the exposed place, turning the original 1 x 2 m dimensions to 1 x 2.8 m. The ironwork used has one advantage: the original table board doesn’t have to be halved in order for the extension part to be inserted.
Oak varnished bathroom cabinets – a combination of solid wood and veneer. Mirrors on varnished oak boards with integrated lighting.
Solid door sprayed white – a safety milk glass panel with a sandblasted motif reaching all the way to the fanlight. The solid wood door to the left is sprayed white and sliding.
A walk-in closet with a system of fitted wardrobes on both sides – white laminate.
